Food, Food, Food

Ukrainian meals are always large, and they can be heavy; however, ingredients are natural, and the people are active.  From the famous borscht to the chewy pig ear, I've been eating my way through Ukraine.

Dumplings stuffed with meat or potatoes is a typical side dish.

Some of the non-purple variety of borscht.
Tastes a lot like vegetable soup reallly.

Smoked, sliced pig ears.  Even my Ukrainian host gave me a strange look when I ordered this one.

We ate lunch with a local farmer. This is what farm-to-table is all about!  The best sausage ever made.
Bread and salt is a welcome ceremony
in Ukraine. Guests are presented with a loaf of bread
as part of the traditional greeting.

Who doesn't enjoy lard and onions?

  1. Kyiv is the capital and the largest city of Ukraine, located in the north central part of the country on the Dnieper River. The population of the city is 2,654.000.
Kyiv is an important industrial, scientific, educational, and cultural centre of Eastern Europe. The city has an extensive infrastructure and highly developed system of public transport, including the Kyiv Metro.

In Kyiv, you can find different alternatives from the World Cuisine and also you can have a chance to taste traditional and delicious Ukraine Cuisine in a wide range of Restaurants and Cafés.

Tradional Ukraine Cuisine is composed of three parts. The first part is ‘Pervoye’ that means ‘soup, salad or starters’, the second one is ‘Ftoroye’ has a meaning that ‘meat, chicken or fish served with patateo’, ‘Tretye’ is the last part that represents ‘stewed fruit and desserts’. Borsch is certainly the national dish of Ukraine, even making its appearance on the menus of Chinese and Italian restaurants in Kyiv.

Bread, is of course the mainstay of the Ukrainian diet. The country’s reputation as the “breadbasket of Europe” is well deserved. Ukrainians extremly loves drinking alcholol. Their favourite drink is vodka, also wine is widespread due to rich and high-qualified vineyards. Tea is a popular beverage at any time with biscuits. There are many different kinds of pastries and cakes, usually less sweet than they are made outside of continental Europe.

There is a growing number of sushi and pizza restaurants in Kyiv. Besides, you can enjoy the most delicious sushi and pizza in the World.

Delivery service is really important in Kyiv. In Ukraine, there are special online web sites for food delivery services including sushi, pizza, pasta and different kind of foods and beverages. In this sector, the newest and cheapest online delivery web site is www.HochuKushat.com.ua . Delivery service is being easier and cheaper by www.HochuKushat.com.ua .
